a 19th century obsession

I understand now how Kitty and Lydia Bennet could be so obsessed with trimming out their bonnets in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

When there is ribbon to be had and lace and buttons - the possibilities are endless. No sooner do you finish trimming out one bonnet than start to imagine making another.

  1. I always related to Georgiana, and her musical abilities, but I truly missed the color, texture and unending variety through the eyes of the youngest Bennet sisters. Good luck! I can't wait to see the end result.

    1. Well...it truly is up for debate whether or not the youngest Bennets were actually sensible of the texture and variety of all of the ribbons and lace - they were just so obsessed with the officers they may not have even noticed. I think Georgiana with her good sense (disregarding Wickham) would have appreciated the process of creating something pretty more than those silly Bennet girls...fun to think about! Thanks, Traci!
