Hurrah! I'm so happy that I've managed to squeeze one more blog post in before April is behind us. I can't believe how fast the pages on the calendar are turning. This week was another marathon. I managed to pick up another cold virus over the weekend and by Tuesday I was way under the weather. Life and work did not stop, however. I finally caved and went to the doctor on Friday, because I'm nursing I was hesitant to take anything that would put a dent in my stuffy head and sinuses, but my doctor helped me find something that I could take to knock out some of my symptoms. Funny thing - I thought I might have an ear infection, but that wasn't the case.
On to the weekend. We (the baby and I - we let Daddy sleep in) woke up with the early birds and made a batch of muffins and puttered around the house, sorting through baby clothes that he's grown out of. It's funny how our little guy only wore some outfits once or twice. Those new born outfits are so tiny!
Both baby and I squeezed into our skinny jeans last weekend. Nursing and my active work schedule have helped me drop the baby weight and I'm back in my favorite pair of blue jeans - it took five months!
On the crafty side of things I've been playing with the blocks from my scrappy trip around the world quilt and I think I've settled on a layout. I ended up sewing together a new panel last Sunday afternoon.
I also started to sew together some quilt blocks based on the quilt that Logan was laying on in my previous blog post. I've always loved that quilt that my sister made - out of the dozens it's one of my favorites. I'll just keep making squares as I have the scraps and someday soon I'll have a quilt.
That's my plan :)
Have a great weekend!
Jill
So much to love in these photos. Glad you are recovering from your bugs, I have been miserable all week with a cold too. Took me a while to get back into my favourite jeans after the birth of my daughter. Your little man is tarting to look so grown up now. Have a fabulous weekend.
ReplyDeletei like the sunny yellow of your quilt squares and the buttery yellow on the muffins.
